Before you write
Three things come up often enough to check first:
- An old like is missing from the list. The API only reaches the more recent liked videos. Older ones exist on your account but cannot be listed or removed by any app.
- A comment you remember is not there. Unless you imported a Takeout export, the app has only looked at the one video you named or at your own channel. The Takeout guide covers the complete list.
- It stopped and mentioned the daily allowance. That allowance is shared by everyone using the app and resets on its own schedule. Coming back later is the fix; there is nothing to buy or unlock.
What to put in the report
The more of this you include, the less likely the reply is a question:
- What you tapped, in order, and which screen you were on — Home, Liked videos, Comments, or the sweep progress screen.
- The exact message on screen, word for word or as a screenshot. The wording distinguishes an expired sign-in from a quota refusal from a genuine failure; a paraphrase usually does not.
- What you expected instead.
- Your phone and its operating system version.
- Roughly when it happened, with your time zone. The allowance resets on its own schedule, so the time of day explains some failures on its own.
- How often — every time, or once.
What not to send
Do not send your Google Takeout export, your password, or anything showing an access token. None of it is needed to diagnose a problem, and a diagnosis is not worth handing over the contents of your account. If a screenshot happens to include your comments, crop or blank them first.
Things that cannot be fixed by support
- Restoring something you deleted. Deletions happen on YouTube's side and are permanent. Comment Sweep keeps no copy, so there is nothing to restore from — see the terms.
- Raising the daily allowance for you personally. The allowance belongs to the whole app, and it is Google that sets it.
- Reaching your older likes. No app can; the API does not return them.
Privacy of your message
An email you send is an email: it sits in a mailbox until it is answered. It is not fed into any analytics or support platform, because there is none. The privacy page covers the app itself.
