These are the terms for using the Comment Sweep app and this website. They are short on purpose.

What the app is

A tool that removes your own YouTube likes and deletes your own YouTube comments, using your own Google account, from your own device. It is not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Google or YouTube. Your use of YouTube itself is still governed by Google's and YouTube's terms.

Deletions are permanent

When you select a like or a comment and confirm, the app asks YouTube to remove it. That removal happens on Google's side and cannot be undone — not by the app, not by signing back in, not by revoking the app's access, and not by writing to us. Comment Sweep keeps no copy of anything it deletes, so there is nothing to restore from.

Check the list before you confirm. If you want a record of what you wrote, keep your Google Takeout export; it is your own copy, downloaded from Google, and the app does not alter it.

The daily allowance is shared and can run out

YouTube limits how much the app may do in a day. That limit belongs to the app as a whole rather than to each person, so everyone using it draws on the same allowance, and it resets on its own schedule.

So the app may stop part-way through a job and tell you to come back tomorrow, and it may do that even when the counter on your own device still shows room, because that counter cannot see what anyone else has spent. This is normal behaviour, not a fault, and there is no way to buy past it from inside the app.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. It may contain defects. It depends on a Google API that Google can change, throttle or withdraw at any time, and on parts of your account that Google does not make available at all — for example older likes, which the app cannot see.

To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss arising from using the app, including deleted content you wanted to keep. You use it on your own account, at your own risk, and you are responsible for what you tell it to delete.

Nothing here tries to exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if any part of these terms is unenforceable where you live, the rest still applies.

Acceptable use

Use the app on accounts you own or are authorised to act for. Do not use it to delete other people's content, and do not try to work around the API allowance or Google's terms with it.
